A world map quiz by CxDeV
Choose what to do with each territory whose political status is disputed. Every option is separate, so you can ask about one, mark another and fold a third into its neighbour.
Only the three territories below are drawn as their own shape on this map, so only they can be set separately. Other contested areas, such as Palestine, Northern Cyprus and Somaliland, are part of a neighbour's outline and cannot be picked out on their own.

This website is a free interactive geography map quiz built strictly for educational purposes. It helps learners practise world geography by identifying countries and capitals on an interactive world map. We value your privacy and have designed the site to collect as little information about you as possible.
This site is served through Cloudflare, which acts as a traffic optimisation, content delivery and security filter between your browser and our server. Cloudflare automatically processes technical and metadata information in order to deliver pages efficiently and to protect this site from bots, denial-of-service attacks and other malicious traffic.
This processing may include your IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system, requested URL, referrer information and the date and time of the request. This information is used by Cloudflare for network security and performance purposes. We do not control Cloudflare's handling of this data, and you can review Cloudflare's own policies at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
This release has no advertising and no analytics. The site sets no cookies of its own and loads no third-party advertising script, so there is no ad profile and nothing to opt out of.
If advertising is added in a future release, this policy will be updated before it starts, and the site will ask for a choice first where the law requires one. Nothing is collected now.
This site is intended to be safe for classroom use and we comply with the US COPPA Act and the EU GDPR. We do not knowingly collect, store or share personal data from children under the age of 13. Because we run no accounts and collect no personal information from players, no child data is gathered. Users below 13 should use this site with a parent or teacher. Read the question at the top of the screen, then click the matching country on the interactive world map. A correct answer flashes the country green and plays a short chime; a wrong answer flashes red and tells you which country you actually clicked, so you can try again. Your score, mistake count and progress bar update after every answer, and the quiz ends with a summary of how you did in each region.
This map quiz covers 171 countries across five regions: the Americas (North, Central and South), Europe, Africa, Asia and Oceania. Antarctica is not included. A small number of the smallest territories are represented on the map but are not always asked about.
Borders are simplified cartography intended for general education. National borders are political, and some are disputed or subject to change. This map should not be treated as an authoritative depiction of any territory, and it is not suitable for legal, academic or official reference.
Each country is paired with its generally recognised capital city. Where a country has more than one capital, or where the status of a capital is politically sensitive, the quiz uses the most commonly cited answer.
